Barisal Board tops with 80.65pc pass rate

Barisal Board has secured the top position among nine general educational boards with 80.65 percent pass rate in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations held in 2023.

Dhaka Board secured the second position with 79.44 pass rate while Rajshahi Board obtained the third position with 78.46 percent pass rate.

The pass rate of Cumilla Board is 75.39 percent, while it is 74.48 percent in Dinajpur Board, 74.45 percent in Chattogram Board, 71.62 percent in Sylhet Board, 70.44 percent in Mymensingh Board and the lowest 69.88 percent in Jashore Board which secured top position last year in terms of pass rate.

On average, 78.64 percent of the examinees passed the examinations held under 11 education boards of the country with 92,595 candidates getting GPA-5 (maximum grade point average).

Out of 13, 57,915 examinees appearing in the examinations, 10, 67,852 students have been successful in the HSC and equivalent examinations.
