78.64pc pass HSC exams, 92365 get GPA-5
A total of 78.64 percent students, on an average, passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations-2023 held under 11 education boards in the country.
Among the successful candidates, a total of 92,365 got GPA-5 (maximum grade point average) in the examinations.
The results were published on the education board website (http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd) at 11am on Sunday.
This year, a total of 10,67,852 students passed the HSC and equivalent examinations.
Earlier in the morning, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and chairmen of all education boards handed over the summery of the results to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganabhaban residence.
Dr Dipu Moni will hold a press conference and announce the details of the results at the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha in Dhaka at 2.30pm.
A total of 13,59,342 students were registered for the HSC and equivalent exams. Of them, 6,88,887 are boys and 6,70,455 are girls.
In 2022, a total of 85.95 percent students, on an average, passed the HSC and equivalent examinations. Among them, a total of 1,76,282 got GPA-5.
