The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published on Friday that showed 80.39 percent of students passed.

According to the results, this year a total of 16,41,140 students passed the exams and among them, 7,96,404 are male and 8,44,736 female.

As many as 1,83,508 examinees obtained GPA-5 and of them, 84,964 are male and 98,614 female students.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally published the results online through a program at her Ganabhaban residence in Dhaka.

Earlier, Education Minister Dipu Moni handed over a summary of the results to the premier through a program at Ganabhaban.

Students can see their results by visiting the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd by entering their roll and registration number, from their respective educational institutions or via SMS.

Around 20,72,153 students under the 11 education boards -- nine general, one madrasa and one technical -- took part in the Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations.
