Charging extra fee for admission: 4 edu institutions served show-cause notice

Four educational institutions in Dhaka have been served show-cause notice for allegedly charging extra fees for student admission.

The institutions are Monipur Uchcha Vidyalaya and College, Shaeed Police Smrity College, SOS Hermann Gmeiner College and Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College.

Dhaka Education Board issued the notice on Wednesday.

The notice, signed by the board's college inspector Prof Abu Taleb Md Moazzem Hossain, asked the institutions to give an explanation within the next seven working days.

The notice said allegations were found that the four educational institutions charged extra fees than the fixed fees in student admission guidelines-2022 for private schools, and schools and colleges.
