The National University is going to introduce skill-based short courses and 12 postgraduate Diploma (PGD) courses.

The 12 PGD courses, including ICT, soft-skill, and entrepreneurship, will be launched by March of 2023, and the short ones will be introduced at any time of the same year.

NU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Moshiur Rahman made the announcement at a workshop at the senate hall of the university's main campus in Gazipur on Wednesday.

Speaking at the workshop, he said, "We are going to introduce skill-based short courses and 12 PGD courses to improve the quality of National University's education. We are trying to change the university within.

"When our students will come under these courses, our biggest challenge will be to make the teachers competent.

"We are taking initiatives in this regard and the teachers will be given blended learning, if necessary," he said.
