Govt to buy 76 lakh textbooks for pry schools

The government has decided to purchase around 75,93,918 copies of textbooks for Class III, IV, and V in primary levels.
For this, the cost has been estimated at about Tk 25.89 crore, and the textbooks for the Bangla, and English versions will be bought in 10 lots.
The approval came in the 33rd meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase held on Thursday with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair.
Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Sayeed Mahbub Khan said this while briefing the reporters about the proposals approved in the meeting.
