Launching English version in Class XI-XII of VNSC sought

Some students of Viqarunnisa Noon School & College (VNSC) demanded to launch English version for the Business Studies group of Class XI-XII.

The students, who took part in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations from the institution, made the demand in a human chain on Sunday morning.

Their guardians also participated in the program formed in front of the main branch of the school and college at Bailey Road in capital Dhaka.

At the program, the students said they sat in this year's SSC exam from the English version of the Business Studies group. 

At the end of the test, the VNSC authorities told them that the English version will be introduced for the Business Studies group of Class XI-XII, too, but now they say it won't be opened, they added.

Such a decision of the authorities left them in trouble, they also said.

In this regard, Principal Kamrun Nahar told Jago News that there is no chance to launch English version for the Business Studies group as the institution has insufficient classrooms and teachers.

The students took admission here knowing the matter and now some are inciting them, she said.

A new building is being built at the Bailey Road campus and the matter will be considered after the completion of the facility, Kamnur Nahar added.
