HSC exams from Nov 6, coaching centres to remain closed for 42 days

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on November 6. All coaching centres in Bangladesh have been directed to remain their activities closed from November 3 to December 14 to hold the exams peacefully and avert question paper leak rumour.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Wednesday told reporters after a meeting of law and order committee at her ministry in Secretariat. 

The minister said, this year 1,203,407 examinees from 9,181 educational institutions will sit for the exams under the nine general education boards. The examinations will be held at 2,649 centres across the country.  

The theoretical examinations will end on December 13. The practical examinations will start on December 15 and end on December 22. 

The HSC and equivalent examinations will begin with holding Bangla First Paper examination on November 6. 

Examinees have been asked to collect admit cards from their respective examination centers. 

The examinations will take place for two hours- (1:40 hours for written examinations and 20 minutes for MCQ). 

The examinations will be held from 11am to 1pm.
