SSC, equivalent exams begin

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under eleven boards including Madrasah (Dakhil) and Technical Education Boards began across the country on Thursday. 

The SSC exams started at 11 am and continue till 1 pm.

A total of 20,21,868 students from 29,591 educational institutions are taking part in the exams of SSC, Dakhil and SSC (vocational) at 3,790 centres.

A total of 15,99,711 students are participating in the SSC examination under nine general education boards.

Some 2,68,495 students are appearing in the Dakhil exam under Madrasah Education Board while 1,63,662 students in SSC vocational exam under Technical Education Board.

According to the exams schedule, the SSC and its equivalent examinations will end on October 18.

The examination was supposed to begin on June 19 last but the Ministry of Education announced the suspension of the SSC and equivalent examinations on June 17 last as various parts of the country including Sylhet and Sunamganj were inundated due to severe flood situations.
