2,716 new educational institutions get MPO

A total of 2,716 new educational institutions have been brought under the monthly pay order (MPO) scheme across the country.
The Education Ministry confirmed the matter in a press release on Wednesday.
The new institutes include secondary, higher secondary and technical education institutes alongside madrasas.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will brief in this regard at a press conference at 1pm.
According to the education ministry, the decision of giving MPO status to 2,716 institutions has been taken after getting approval from Prime Minister’s Office.
On September 30 last year, the Education Ministry published a mass circular to bring the non-government educational institutions (schools and colleges) under MPO scheme.
