Closure of edu instts not being extended more!

Education Minister has hinted that the closure of the schools and colleges is not being extended more. The decision will be taken in this regard after holding a meeting with the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19.  

She said this virtually while speaking at a programme held at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in the capital on Saturday. 

“We are seeing that the rate of Covid infection is decreasing. It’s a good news. We are hoping that the infection rate will also be decreased more,” the minister said.

She also said, a meeting with the advisory committee on Coronavirus was scheduled to be held on Sunday but it will be held after two days. We will review the overall situation there.

It is to be noted that, the government closed the schools and colleges and equivalent institutions from January 21 to February 6 to stop current spread of the Coronavirus. Later, on February 2, the government also extended the closure for more two weeks from February 6.
