1,83,340 students get GPA 5 in SSC exams
A total of 1,83,340 students got the highest grade point average (GPA 5) in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under 11 education boards across the country this year. Last year the number was 1,35,898.
Of them, a total of 1,63,840 students achieved GPA 5 under nine general education boards, while 14,313 students obtained the grade under the Madrasa Education Board, and 5,187 under the Technical Education Board.
This year, a total of 93.58% of students passed in SSC and its equivalent examinations. The pass rate was 82.87% last year.
Candidates will be able to get their results from websites and through SMS.
Examinees can get the results from the education board website http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd/ and also from the websites of their respective education boards alongside respective education institutions.
The much-awaited SSC and its equivalent examinations started on November 14 and ended on November 23 with more than 22 lakh students appearing in the exams.
The examinations were held with short syllabuses on three elective subjects on a group basis.
Last year’s HSC examinees were evaluated on the basis of their results of JSC and SSC exams.
