The vaccine registration of all universities’ students will be completed by September 27. Later the authorities of the institutions will be able to reopen the academic activities and residential halls after taking the approval of their respective academic council.

The decision was taken from a meeting of University Grants Commission (UGC), universities’ Vice Chancellors and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday.

M A Khayer, Information and Public Relations Officer of Education Ministry confirmed the matter to Jago News.

On March 17, 2020, the government closed all educational institutions due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Following the closure, the government launched TV educational programmes on the state-run Sangsad channel for secondary and primary students. Later, it asked all schools, colleges, and universities to introduce online education.
