Professor Dr Golam Sabbir Satter Tapu has been appointed as the new vice chancellor of Rajshahi University.
The Ministry of Education on Sunday issued a gazette notification appointing him as the new VC of RU.
Prof Dr Azizur Rahman, the administrator of the university's public relations office, confirmed the matter.
Dr Golam Sabbir is the incumbent director of the Institute of Environmental Science of the university.
