Higher education in US: University Fair in city Sept 7
A university fair titled ‘South Asia Fall Tour 2019 University Fair’ will be held at a city hotel on September 7 allowing Bangladeshi students to meet with representatives of 26 US universities, reports UNB.
US Embassy’s Education USA Student Advising Center will host the fair where US universities will take part, including representatives from Drew University, George Mason University, Hofstra University, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, University of Houston-Victoria, and University of South Florida.
The 2019 Fall Tour will begin in Bangladesh before continuing to Nepal and other South Asian countries throughout September.
The South Asia Fall Tour 2019 presents a unique opportunity for students to interact face-to-face with representatives from 14 US universities as well as a consortium representing 12 other universities, according to US Embassy in Dhaka.
The 26 US universities to be represented at the fair are accredited institutions recognized by Education USA, part of the US Department of State.
During the fair, which is free and open to all from across Bangladesh interested in studying in the United States, students will have the chance to discuss US higher education opportunities, areas of studies and programs, and financial aid opportunities – all in one place.
The fair will also include an informational session about the US student visa process, a discussion on higher education studies in the United States, and a bilingual panel event with Bangladeshi alumni of US universities sharing their US experiences.
The South Asia Fall Tour 2019 aims to facilitate international student access to US higher education institutions by bringing together US universities committed to internationalization with qualified, motivated, and well-prepared students from the local community.
