A central leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and also the student of Dhaka University has filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking a stay order on the polls of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU).

Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajol, on behalf of JCD Student (female) Affairs Secretary and the student of International Relations of DU Fahmida Majid, filed the petition with concerned department of HC on Sunday.

Confirming the matter to Jago News, Barrister Ruhul said though she (Fahmida) is the existing student of the university, its authorities didn’t include her name in the voter list of DUCSU polls.

The final voter list was published on the notice boards of the halls and the website on Wednesday. The DUCSU polls is scheduled to be held on March 11.
