48,719 aspirants sit for IU admission test this year

Some 48,719 students are going to appear in Islamic University (IU) admission test in Kushtia against 2,275 seats for enrolling them in first year honours courses in four units under 2018-19 academic session this year, an IU official said, BSS reported.

The online application process for admission to the university began on September 15 which ended at midnight on Friday last, IU acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif said.

Some 1,996 admission seekers applied for A unit, 21,208 aspirants for B unit, 7,147 for C unit and 18,368 for D unit while over 21 aspirants will vie for one seat, he added.

The admission tests will begin on November 4 which will continue till November 7.

The unit wise admission tests schedule will be published soon on the university website: www.iu.ac.bd.
