DU Shahidullah Hall Trust Fund receives Tk 15 lakh donation

Dhaka University (DU) authorities here on Sunday received Taka 15 lakh donation to increase the capital of “Dr. Mohammad Shahidullah Hall Trust Fund” at the university.

Provost of Shahidullah Hall Professor Dr. Md. Ainul Islam handed over a cheque for Tk 15 lakh to DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin at the Vice-Chancellor’s office to enhance the capital. This amount has been collected from various internal sources of the hall.

Out of the income of this trust fund, every year eight meritorious students of the residential hall of DU will be given scholarship, said a DU press release.

Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Prof. Dr. M. Imdadul Hoque, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. SM Abdur Rahman and acting registrar Md. Enamuzzaman were present.
