12 RU, RUET students to get PM Gold medals

Twelve students of Rajshahi University (RU) and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) were nominated for the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal- 2017 for brilliant results in their own respective faculties.

Professor Ananda Kumar Saha, pro-vice-chancellor of RU, told BSS that 159 students of different universities were nominated for the prestigious medals to be given by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission. Nine of them are from RU and three from RUET, reports BSS.

Prof Shaha said RU students are: Abul Fathu (Arabic), Nazmul Hassan (Law), Rashed Ahmed (Economics), Tasnim Jahan (Biochemistry and Microbiology), Azmery Sultana Shimu (Genetics Engineering and Biotechnology), Shah Ali (Accounting and Information Management), MoumitaTasnim Meem (Material Science and Engineering), Amirun Nissa (Fisheries) and Marvi (Medical).

Meanwhile, three RUET students are: Golam Kibria (Mechanical), Nahin Ul Sadad (Computer Science) and Mehedi Hassan (Civil).
