IU set to observe Amar Ekushey

Islamic University (IU) authority in Kushtia has completed all preparations to observe Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day tomorrow with due respect and in a befitting manner on the campus.

Marking the day, recitation from the holy Quran will be made and special munajat will be offered for salvation of the departed souls of language martyrs at the university central mosque at night and a mourning procession will be brought out from the administrative building around 11.45pm on February 21 and it will end at the premises of the university Shaheed Minar, IU officials said today.

IU teachers, students and officials will place wreaths at the Shaheed Minar to pay homage to the language heroes around 12.01am on February 21.

Besides, the national flag will be hoisted at half mast atop of the administration building and residential halls on the day.
