10 held over DU admission test fraud

The Dhaka University authorities detained 10 applicants over fraudulent activities during ‘Ka’ unit admission test of first year honors for the academic session 2017-18.

Of them, Nur Alam and Al Imran, who were arrested from business faculty centre, were produced before a mobile court and were sentenced to 15-day imprisonment for each.

The admission test was held at 87 centers in and outside of the university campus from 10 am to 11.30 am on Friday.

A total of 89,506 candidates appeared at the admission test under the unit of the university this year against 1,765 seats, according to a press release issued by the university.
