JU admission tests begin today, 151 vie for each seat
The admission tests for the first year honors courses of Jahangirngar University (JU) under academic session 2017-18 will begin on Sunday as a total of 151 candidates will vie for each seat this year.
“A total of 2,99,171 aspirants have applied against 1,986 seats under six faculties and three Institutes this year, breaking all previous records,” the Admission Management Committee officials told on Saturday.
The admission tests of the “A Unit” will be held on October 8 and 9 while “I Unit” tests will also be held on October 9, they added.
The “D Unit” tests will be held on October 10 and 11 and “Unit C and C1” on October 12.
Admission tests of “Unit B and G will be held on October 15 while “Unit E and H” will be held on October 16.
The admission tests will end on October 17 with holding tests of “F unit”.
Earlier, the online registration process for the admission to first year honors courses was concluded on September 30.
Besides, a mobile court led by an Executive Magistrate will be active on the campus during the admission tests for the first time to stop forgery, JU Proctor Professor Tapan Kumar Saha said.
