Green University celebrated World Teachers’ Day

Green University of Bangladesh celebrated the World Teachers’ Day on 5th October, 2017 at the university campus, according to a press release issued by the university’s public relation office.

This year the theme for the day was “Teaching in Freedom, Empowering Teachers”. World Teachers' Day, also known as International Teachers Day, is being held since 1994 on October 5, commemorates teacher organizations worldwide.

Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir was the Chief Guest of program where Pro VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Registrar Lt. Gen Md. Mainul Islam (Retd.), Treasurer Mr. Md. Shahid Ullah, Advisor- GBS Prof. M. M. Khan, Dean Prof. Dr. Golam Ahmed Faruqui, Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman and chairpersons from all the departments were present.

The program started with the Ice breaking session by the faculty members. All participants shared their memorable incidents regarding their teachers and teaching experience. This sharing was followed by entertainment, which included interesting games and team work.
