HSC: 37,726 students get GPA-5
A total of 37,726 students have gained GPA-5 in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under 10 education boards across the country.
It is lower than last year when a total of 58,276 students got GPA-5 in the exams.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over a copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka at 10:30am.
Total 66.84 percent students passed this year’s HSC examinations under the eight education boards.
The pass rates in Madrasa and Technical boards are respectively 77.20 and 81.33 percent.
Last year, the combined pass rate in 10 education boards, including Madrasa and Technical boards, was 74.70 percent, 5.1 percentage points higher than that of previous year.
