RU to celebrate 64th founding anniversary on Thursday

Rajshahi University (RU) is going to celebrate its 64th founding anniversary tomorrow, a RU press release said on Wednesday.

To mark the day, RU authority has chalked out elaborate programmes, including tree plantation, colourful rally and discussion meeting.

The university administration will hoist flags and release balloon, festoon and pigeon at 10 am.

A discussion meeting will be held at Senate Building with Vice-chancellor of RU Professor Abdus Sobhan in the chair.

Former VC Professor Sayedur Rahman Khan, President of Rajshahi University Teachers Association Professor Nazrul Islam and Geography and Environmental Science Department Professor Rakib Ahmed are expected to address the meeting.

Classes of the university will remain off from 10 am to 12 noon on the occasion, the press release added.
