Shakespeare Drama Festival at Green University

Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) English Club staged two Shakespearean plays as a part of celebration of  William Shakespeare`s birth anniversary, according to a press release issued by the university.

The plays- Hamlet and Merchant of Venice- were performed by the students and teachers in the festival held on May 24 and 25 in 2017, the press release read.

Professor Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice Chancellor of GUB, attended the festival as the Chief Guest while Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GUB, presided over the program.

Md. Shahid Ullah, Treasurer of GUB; Lt. Gen. Md. Mainul Islam (Retd.), Registrar; Prof. Mustafizur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Arts, City University; K. M. Wazed Kabir, Chairperson, Dept. of English, GUB; among others, were present at the programme.
