IU goes to 39-day holiday from Saturday

The Islamic University (IU) goes to 39-day vacation from Saturday on the occasion of Summer season, holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.

A university press release said on Thursday, all the academic activities of the university will remain closed from May 20 to July 3 while the department authorities can take classes and examinations from May 20 to June 19 if they want.

The University authority will provide logistic support for holding classes and examinations during the vacations, the press release added.

Besides, all the administrative activities of the university will remain closed from May 20 to 27 on the occasion of summer season and from June 20 to July 3 on the occasion of holy Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr while the offices will continue from May 28 to June 19.

IU acting Registrar SM Abdul Latif said, all the academic and administrative activities will resume on July 4 after ending the vacation.

All residential halls will remain closed on the occasions from June 20 to July 2 and will reopen on July 3, he added.
