Bird Fair held at JU

With a view to creating mass awareness, the Zoology department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) arranged Bird Fair on Friday on campus of the university.

JU Treasurer Professor Dr Abul Khayer as the chief guest inaugurated the 16th fair at 10:30 am.

Enam Al Haque, head of Bangladesh Bird Club’s Bird Research Project, IUCN’s programme coordinator Dr Hasib attended as special guests.

Zoology Department chairman Professor Dr Manowar Hossain presided over the programme while History Department chairman Professor ATM Atikur Rahman was the moderator.

The fair included photography exhibition on birds, painting competition for children, inter-university bird identification competition and bird watching through telescope, etc.
