BCL announces committees of DU Hall units

Bangladesh Chhatra League on Tuesday announced the committees of all 18 residential hall units of Dhaka University over two weeks after the students organization staged its first ever hall units council of the university simultaneously.

Initially, names of top two posts -president and secretary- have been announced for next one year tenure while full-fledged committees of respectively hall units will be declared later.

Barikul Islam Badhan and Al Amin Rahman were made president and general secretary respectively of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall unit while Yusuf Uddin Khan and Abdullah Al Masud Limon were selected as president and general secretary of Ziaur Rahman Hall unit.

In Jagannath Hall unit, Sanjit Chandra Das was made president and Utpal Biswas general secretary.

Benjir Hossain Nishi and Ranak Jahan Rain were made president and general secretary respectively of female dormitory Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall unit while Farida Parvin and Shrabani Shaila have been selected as president and general secretary respectively of Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitree Hall unit.

For Masterda Surja Sen Hall unit, Mohammad Golam Sarwar and Nahid Hasan Shaheen were made president and general secretary respectively while Jahirul Islam and Mehedi Hasan Sunny have been selected as president and general secretary respectively for Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall unit.

Lipi Akter and Srabani Islam were made president and general secretary of female dormitory Rokeya Hall unit, Nipu Islam Tanwi and Jiasmine Shanta were selected as president and general secretary respectively for another female dormitory Shamsun Nahar Hall unit and Iffat Jahan Esa and Sarjia Sharmin Shampa were made president and general secretary of Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall unit.

In Shahidullah Hall unit, M Sakib Hasan and Arif Hossain Rifat were made president and general secretary respectively, Shahriar Siddiqui and M Mahfuzur Rahman were selected president and general secretary respectively of Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall unit and Abdur Razzak Raj and Ehsan Ullah were made president and general secretary respectively for Amar Ekushey Hall unit.

Syed Mohammad Arif Hossain and Shahed Khan were made president and general secretary of Kabi Jasimuddin Hall unit while Fakir Russel Ahmed and M Nayan Hawladar were made president and general secretary of Bijoy Ekattor Hall unit.

In F Rahman Hall unit, Mohammad Hafizur Rahman and Mahmudul Hasan Tushar were made president and general secretary respectively while M Sohanur Rahman and Asif Talukdar were made president and general secretary of Sergeant Zahurul Haq Hall, Tahsan Ahmed Russell and Md Mehedi Hasan Tapash were made president and general secretary respectively.

On November 27, BCL staged its first ever council of residential hall units of Dhaka University simultaneously in front of Aparajeyo Bangla on the campus.
