21,083 anti-drug committees formed at schools, colleges
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said the government formed 21,083 anti-drug committees at schools and colleges across the country in March 2016.
He disclosed this in the Jatiya Sangsad, while replying to a tabled question from treasury bench member Nizam Uddin Hazari of Feni-2.
As part of an awareness campaign across the country, the government has so far formed 21,083 anti-drug committees for preventing abuse of drugs at higher educational institutions, Kamal said.
He informed the House that the committees have been conducting anti-drug campaign on a regular basis on the campuses.
The minister, however, said that the government has remained alert about the menace of drug abuse.
