Stalker breaks college girls's teeth for rejecting love
A stalker allegedly has broken five teeths of female student of Shariatpur Government College with brick after she refused to his love proposal.
Injured Khadiza Akter, 19, has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for better treatment.
Khazida is the second year student of the college, and daughter of Abul Kalam Dhali of Char Koarpur village in Sadar upazila.
The incident took place on the college campus on Wednesday afternoon.
Palong Police Station said Azmir Ullah, 18, a first year student of the same college, has been teased Khadiza for two months, and he gave her love proposal but refused.
On Wednesday, Azmir stopped Khadiza on her way home from college. During this, they both locked into an altercation.
At one stage, the stalker hit the girl in her face with a brick, causing her five teeths broken.
She was rushed to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital.
The hospital residencial medical officer Dr Sumon Poddar said five teeths of Khazida fractured and several more damaged. She was referred to Dhaka for better treatment, he added.
Declined to be named, a fellow of Khadiza, said, "The boy is junior to us. We tried much to make understand that it is not fare what he wants but he was reckless."
The victim's father Abul Kalam lodged a case with Palong Police Station against Azmir, said officer in-charge Md Aslam Uddin.
Shariatpur Government College principal Harun Or Rashid expressed sadness over the incident. They have convened meeting of teachers' council on Saturday to take decision on accused Azmir, the principal added.
