80 domestic animals get winter clothes in Rajshahi

Some eighty domestic cattle were given worm clothes at Kaligram village under Manda Upazila in Naogaon district on Tuesday.

Shah Agriculture Information Library and Museum provided the winter clothes to the beasts belong to the nearby people in a simple ceremony in its premises.

Superintendent of Police Mozammel Haque, Professor Dr Jalal Uddin Sarder from Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Rajshahi University and its Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Hemayetul Islam, ACI Zonal Sales Manager Delwar Hossain Khan and local Union Parishad Chirman Nur Muhammad attended and addressed the programme.

The discussants said role of livestock to the national economy is very important. So, time has come to give attention to the animal health.

They said the initiative will help lessening the sufferings of the beasts caused by cold bite.
