Fire on tourist launch in Sundarban

A tourist launch which was anchored in front of Harhbarhia forest office of Chandpai range in the East Sundarban area caught fire on Friday evening.

26 tourists were in the marine vessel named Pelicon-1 and everyone is safe.

DFO of the East Sundarban area Md. Saidul Islam said all the tourists have been taken away without casualties while the fire broke out from one of the cabins and later spread elsewhere.

The attempts were on to douse flames.
