RFL organises beach cleaning programme in Cox’s Bazar

RFL Group, the country's leading business conglomerate, organised a 'Beach Cleaning' programme on Tuesday morning, January 7, aiming to maintain environmental balance and creating awareness among people. 

More than 500 hundred officials of RFL Group participated in the event held in Cox's Bazar beach, the world's longest one. The officials cleaned rubbish lying on the beach from Laboni to Kolatoli points on Cox’s Bazar beach.

Addressing the occasion, RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group, said, “As the country’s leading business conglomerate, RFL has social responsibility. We carry out various programmes throughout the year as part of our social responsibilities. As part of this, we have organised this 'Beach Cleaning' program at Cox's Bazar sea beach.”

He added, “The objective of this programme is to create awareness so that no one throws garbage on the beach.”

At the programme, waste bins were handed over to the district administration to cooperate in waste management. Rayhan Uddin Ahmed, member secretary of Cox’s Bazar Beach Management Committee, received the bins.

Al Asad Md Mahfuzul Islam, Superintendent of Police of Tourist Police, Cox's Bazar Region, Imran Hossain Sajib, Additional District Magistrate of Cox’s Bazar, Toukirul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Durable Plastic Ltd, a concern of RFL Group, and high officials of the Group were present on the occasion.
