A three-day international exhibition spotlighting construction, housing, power, and related industries commenced on Thursday (November 14) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).

This annual event, organised by Conference and Exhibition Management Services (SEMS-Global USA), marks 28 years of the "Build Series of Exhibitions" and "Power Series of Exhibitions," running from November 14 to 16.

The event features six concurrent exhibitions: the 29th Build Bangladesh 2024, 23rd Real Estate Expo 2024, 6th Water Bangladesh International Expo 2024, 26th Power Bangladesh 2024, 21st Solar Bangladesh 2024, and 6th Dhaka International Lighting Expo 2024.

Meherun N Islam, President and Group Managing Director of SEMS-Global USA & Asia Pacific, inaugurated the exhibitions, joined by SEMS-Global CEO SS Sarwar, Executive Director Tanvir Kamrul Islam, and other key officials.

With over 195 companies from 20 countries participating across 500 booths, the event showcases a wide range of products for the construction, housing, water, solar, and lighting sectors.

The exhibitions are open to the public from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm daily at ICCB Halls 1, 2, 3, and 4, with three industry-focused international seminars scheduled over the event’s duration.

Addressing the event's goals, Meherun N Islam expressed optimism about the exhibitions' role in Bangladesh’s industrial development, noting that advancements in construction, housing, and power are essential to the country's economic growth.

Industry projections indicate that Bangladesh’s construction market is expected to reach $41.47 billion by 2028, up from $30.38 billion in 2023, underscoring the sector’s significance to national progress.

The expo aims to foster direct business-to-business (B2B) connections between buyers and suppliers, providing a comprehensive platform for solutions and trade expansion.

According to the organisers, multi-sector exhibitions like this have been instrumental in enhancing industry growth and promoting B2B networking.

This year’s exhibition provides a unique opportunity for professionals in Dhaka to engage with leading suppliers and showcase their products under one roof.
