Rizwan elected vice chairman of Eastland Insurance

Rizwan Rahman, a sponsor director, has been elected vice chairman of Eastland Insurance PLC at the company's 225th Board Meeting held on October 30.

A former president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) for 2021-2022, Rizwan is also the Managing Director of ETBL Holdings Ltd., a diversified firm with interests in infrastructure, financial services, warehousing, and print media, among others, according to a press release.

Over the past decade, Rizwan has served on the boards of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI), Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI), Bangladesh Chamber of Industries, as well as the Dutch-Bangla and Bangladesh-Philippines Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He joined the family business in 2006 after completing his education in the United Kingdom.
