Bangladesh Denim Expo in November
The Bangladesh Denim Expo, organised by the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange, returns for its 17th edition, showcasing the country's flourishing denim industry.
This international trade show brings together manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and designers from around the world to explore the latest trends and innovations in denim production.
As a hub for networking, business opportunities, and knowledge-sharing, the expo offers exhibitions, seminars, and workshops focusing on sustainability, technology, and design.
Recognised globally for its commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, the event has been pivotal in positioning Bangladesh as a major player in the global denim market.
Scheduled for November 4th and 5th, 2024, at Hall-4, International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, the two-day event will feature panel discussions, trend seminars, the Trend Zone, and exhibitions, said a press release.
This year’s theme, "The Blue New World," symbolises a fresh start in the denim industry, embracing eco-friendly practices, responsible fashion, and continuous innovation. It highlights Bangladesh's role as a sustainable and reliable sourcing destination for the global apparel market.
Over 44 exhibitors from 7 countries, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China, Turkey, Spain, and Italy, will participate.
Exhibitors span across categories such as fabric mills, denim and non-denim garment manufacturers, washing laundries, accessories, trims, chemicals, machinery, technology, and logistics.
The event will feature four key panel discussions, where global experts will address challenges and opportunities in Bangladesh's Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector.
The Topics include: Securing Bangladesh’s RMG Industry: How Do We Confront Challenges Resiliently;
What Steps Must Bangladesh Take to Lead the Global Apparel Industry by 2030; Shaping the Future of the RMG Sector: GSP+ and LDC Transition; and Unpacking Buyer Opportunities in Bangladesh’s RMG Industry: Tapping Into Growth Potential.
Founder and CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo, Mostafiz Uddin, emphasised the critical role of the garment industry in the country's economy, contributing significantly to foreign earnings. "It’s time we come together to formulate strategies that not only address the challenges but also seize the opportunities. Together, we can ensure the sustainable growth of the industry," he said.
The Bangladesh Denim Expo will not remain open for all, it will be an invite-only event.
