Govt nods import of 4.5cr eggs

The government has permitted seven companies to import around 4.5 crore pieces of eggs amid high prices of the item.
The seven firms are M/s Mim Enterprise, Himlay, M/s Prime Care Bangladesh, and M/s Jaman Traders in Dhaka, M/s Sumon Traders in Khulna, Alif Traders in Rangpur, and M/s Tawsin Traders in Jashore.
To keep the prices of egg stable, the approval was given that will remain effective till October 31, a Commerce Ministry handout said on Tuesday (October 8).
