BFIU seeks bank account info of ex-speaker Shirin

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit, BFIU, has directed all banks to provide the account information of former Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.

Account details of her husband Syed Ishtiaq Hossain, their son Syed Ebtesham Rafique and daughter Lamisa Shirin Hossain have also been sought.

The BFIU requested the information in letters sent to the banks on Thursday.
