Fuel oil prices reduced

The interim government has reduced the prices of diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene. 

The prices of petrol and octane have been reduced by Tk 6 per litre, while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been decreased by Tk 1.25 per litre. 

Fouzul Kabir Khan, The Adviser for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, gave this information to reporters around 11am on Saturday before inspecting the under-construction Rupsa 800 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant project at Khalishpur in Khulna.

The new prices will come into effect at 12:00 am on Sunday, he said.

The adviser said that the price of diesel will be reduced by Tk 1.25 to Tk 105.50, the price of octane by Tk 6 to Tk 125, and the price of petrol by Tk 6 to Tk 121. 

However, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a gazette notification in this regard.
