Bank accounts of Arafat, wife frozen

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit has asked all the banks to freeze the accounts of former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat and his wife.

The government agency sent letters to the banks on Monday, instructing to stop withdrawing money from their personal or business accounts.

It also directed to the banks to send information (account opening form, KYC and transaction, etc.) related to the account.
