2 top Bangladesh Bank officials resign amid backlash
Two top officials of Bangladesh Bank have resigned from their respective posts amid the backlash from their colleagues.
They are Deputy Governor Kazi Saidur Rahman and Policy Committee Adviser Abu Forah Mohammad Naser.
They submitted their resignation letters to Executive Director 1 of the central bank on Wednesday.
The resignations came on the second day after the reopening of government offices, following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The reshuffle in various departments of the government including the administration has started following the resignation of Sheikh Hasina. In the meantime, there have been changes in various top positions of the army. The government also brought changes in the positions of Inspector General of Police, RAB Director General and DMP Commissioner.
