The PRAN-RFL Group has been honoured with seven national export trophies, including three golds, for its exceptional contribution to exports for the fiscal year 2021-22.

The trophies were awarded by the Ministry of Commerce for the group's achievements in exporting agro-processed products, plastic goods, melamine, and light engineering products.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the trophies to the PRAN-RFL Group during a ceremony at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday, said a press release.

PRAN-RFL Group has been recognised as the top exporter by the Bangladesh government for the past 21 consecutive years. The group also set a record by receiving three gold trophies in a single fiscal year.

In the agro-processing sector, PRAN won all the awards: Habiganj Agro Ltd, PRAN Agro Ltd, and PRAN Foods Ltd received gold, silver, and bronze trophies, respectively. In the plastic goods sector, Allplast Bangladesh Ltd and Banga Plastic International Ltd of RFL Group were awarded gold and bronze trophies, respectively. Durable Plastic Ltd received a gold trophy in the melamine sector, while Rangpur Metal Industries Ltd earned a bronze trophy in the light engineering sector.

At the event, PRAN-RFL Group Chairman and CEO Ahsan Khan Chowdhury accepted the gold trophies on behalf of Habiganj Agro and Allplast Bangladesh from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

AKM Moinul Islam Moin and Saiful Islam Sikder, Executive Directors of the group, received the awards on behalf of PRAN Agro and PRAN Foods, respectively.

RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group, accepted the awards on behalf of Durable Plastic, Banga Plastic, and Rangpur Metal Industries.

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury remarked, “Bangladesh aims for hundreds of billions of dollars in export revenue in the coming years by emphasising export diversification. So, we must focus more on potential sectors besides ready-made garments.”

“PRAN-RFL Group has been working hard on export diversification and is beginning to see success. This year, PRAN-RFL Group has been recognised in four categories, which is a great pleasure for us. We are very hopeful that export trophies will come in more sectors very soon,” added the PRAN-RFL Group Chairman and CEO.

PRAN-RFL Group, the country's leading food manufacturer and exporter, began exporting its products to France in 1997. Currently, the group exports a wide range of products to 145 countries worldwide, including India, Nepal, Malaysia, UAE, Oman, UK, USA, and Canada.
