Gold price reduced by Tk 1073 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to reduce the price of gold by Tk 1,073 per bhori following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Gold of 22-carat was cut by Tk 1,073 to Tk 1,17,288 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat by Tk 1,027 to Tk 1,11,951, 18-carat by Tk 875 to Tk 95,960, and gold of traditional method by Tk 773 to Tk 79,339 respectively.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting on Sunday, a press release said.
The new prices will come into effect from Monday (July 1).
