Gold price hiked by Tk 1073 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) has decided to raise the price of gold by Tk 1,073 per bhori following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.

Gold of 22-carat was hiked by Tk 1,073 to Tk 1,16,955 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat by Tk 1,026 to Tk 1,11,636, 18-carat by Tk 874 to Tk 95,691, and gold of traditional method by Tk 735 to Tk 79,117 respectively.

BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting on Tuesday, a press release said.

The new prices will come into effect from Wednesday (June 12).
