Govt to procure fertilizer worth Tk 592 crore

The government has approved several proposals to procure fertilizer worth around Tk 592.93 crore for the current fiscal year.

The approvals came at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) held at the Secretariat in Dhaka on Tuesday, with Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali presiding over it.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Cabinet Division's Coordination and Reforms Secretary Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan said the fertilizer will be procured from Tunisia, Canada, Morocco, and local company KAFCO at Tk 592.93 crore.
