Finance minister starts placing budget for FY 24-25

Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali has started placing the proposed national budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year at Jatiya Sangsad.
The budget session began around 3 pm on Thursday with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair. Later, the finance minister started presenting the budget.
Earlier this afternoon, the Cabinet at a special meeting approved the proposed budget. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.
Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali said this budget will make common people's livelihood easy.
