Gold price reduced by Tk 1283 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to reduce the price of gold by Tk 1,283 per bhori following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 1,17,177 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat by Tk 1,236 to Tk 1,11,846, 18-carat by Tk 1,062 to Tk 95,866, and gold of traditional method by Tk 875 to Tk 79,257 respectively.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting on Saturday, a press release said.
The new price will come into effect from Sunday (May 26).
