Tk 2.65 lakh crore ADP approved for FY25

The government has approved the Annual Development Program (ADP) of Tk 2.65 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2024-25.

The amount is 0.76 percent more than that of the current FY 2023-24.

The ADP was approved at the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) held at the Planning Ministry on Thursday, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Planning Minister Major General (retd) Abdus Salam said of the 2.65 lakh crore, Tk 1.65 lakh crore will come from the government internal sources and Tk 1 lakh crore from foreign financing or project aid.

The transport and power sectors have been prioritized in the ADP, too, he said.
