Gold price hiked by Tk 4502 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association has decided to raise the price of gold by Tk 4,502 per bhori following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Gold of 22-carat was hiked by Tk 4,502 to Tk 1,15,450 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat by Tk 4,304 to Tk 1,10,201, 18-carat by Tk 3,686 to Tk 94,455, and gold of traditional method by Tk 2,601 to Tk 78,090 respectively.
BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided this in a meeting on Tuesday, a press release said.
The new prices will come into effect from Wednesday (May 8).
